Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is filled with eager and ready-to-learn students! We have built and fostered an environment where kids can feel safe and loved. Our school is not located in the safest part of the city, but our school has provided a safe place for our kids. We have Saturday and Sunday recreational activities that provide a safe place for kids to play.
Although these children come from all aspects of life, this does not define who they can become.
We have students who come from homeless shelters, programs, single family homes, farm-worker parents and foster care. Although they have many obstacles in their life, a barrier to receiving a proper education is not one of them.
My Project
I have 11 special need students that need to be able to build on their organizational skills. I am trying to help my students to understand that being organized helps us focus but also keeps our classroom TIDY!
These 4 communication centers will be used for my kids to be able to get and turn in their work in a organized matter versus shoving it in a basket or in their desks.
Each one will be designated for math, reading, writing and independent work. This will allow my students to find what they need in a more timely matter. Time is precious in school and these items will save us time and help my kids become more organized.
