This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach Kindergarten to 25 of the sweetest, most loving, caring, and smartest 5 year old kids. They love coming to school to learn, and to be part of something special. I strive each day to make each day the best ever.

Our school is 99% Latino and our entire school qualifies for free lunch.

Many students live in multi-generational homes and their parents work 2 to 3 jobs just to make ends meet. I do my best to make my classroom a positive and nurturing environment for them every day. However, due to budget cutbacks, it is sometimes difficult to get the materials we need to establish success.

My Project

I am requesting Magna-Tiles for my Kindergarten classroom class because we were gifted a small box and they have quickly become the highlight of exploration time! Every day during this period of our classroom the students have the opportunity to explore one of our STEAM/STEM bins and the Magna-Tiles are one of the most popular.

Kindergarten is a time for discovery!

I love for my students to learn through play. The conversations they exhibit while they are interacting with their peers is priceless! They are learning so much at this time without it having to be worksheets. Through the use of Magna-Tiles and their imagination the possibilities are endless.
