This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year I want my students to fall in love with reading.

My students are hard working students who enjoy learning.

They are a large diverse group with many different interests and goals. Our school is a growing charter school that focuses on rigorous academics and tough love. My students are creative problem solvers who practice resiliency everyday.

My Project

My students beg for more independent reading time. They consume books at an unusual pace, so they need relevant and new titles to satiate their reading hunger. My students will use these books throughout the day and after school. These books will be used to study characters, events, dialogue, and historical events.

Your donation to this project will make my students extremely happy during reading time.

You will help foster a love of reading and encourage reading diversity. As a reader, I'm sure you know that feeling of excitement when you crack open a new book. Thanks for bringing that feeling into my classroom.
