A Long Walk to Water Novel Study

My Project

My students are an energetic, curious, and kindhearted group of individuals. They "Choose Love" by striving to be compassionate, grateful, courageous, and forgiving young people.

The students in my classes are a diverse group, representing many different cultures, religions, and backgrounds.

Our classes work hard throughout the year to set high expectations for ourselves both academically and personally.

The novels in this project will be used to help foster a love of reading as well as support our Project Based Learning on the global water crisis, "Ola i ka Wai". Over the Covid-19 pandemic, students did not have access to high-interest books and my hope is this project can help reignite a spark for reading as well as develop their global citizenship.
