Students become stronger readers by READING! The more they read, the better readers they become. But, in order to motivate students to devour books, we need to make sure they have access to books that they will fall in love with. This year I am moving to a classroom with limited titles in the classroom library. I would love to have my students return to school this year with a room full of high-interest chapter books. The books I wish to purchase are popular titles that students are chatting about with their friends. I know that building a culture of reading in my classroom, begins with filling it with books students will WANT to read.
