A Little Wiggle Room

My Project

My students are hard working, eager to learn, and always try their best. I honestly couldn't ask for anything more as their teacher. In my years in the profession I have researched and found that allowing younger students to have flexible seating and a flexible classroom movement plan; allows students to be more successful.

In my experiences, expecting younger students to sit still at desks for extended periods of time is asking too much.

I have learned through brain based research that allowing for movement actually helps increase focus. As a result I am creating a flexible seating floorplan for our classroom, which has opened up a lot of space for moving and movement.

Since we have gotten rid of traditonal desks, we did lose the storage space in our desks. With this project "A Little Wiggle Room" I am asking for help with storage and for a new classroom carpet to fill the space we have created.
