My Project

My students are amazing and resilient human beings who are part of our armed forces families. They have lived all around the world, move frequently, and may have a parent currently deployed. My students have a wide variety of feelings and emotions every day.

Please help me give my students the series of A Little Spot books to help them identify these feelings and emotions and learn how to productively deal with them.

These books provide tangible ways to identify their feelings and emotions. They help students learn that many people have the same emotions and feelings that they do. They are not alone. The author has then created ways for the students to get to a place or feeling of peace or calm.

I will read these books, and practice these activities to help them have tools to identify and control their feelings and emotions. This will give them a sense of a plan or tool to help them through their emotions. It will give them agency to help themselves and others giving them a sense of empowerment to use their entire lives.
