A Little Rug, A Special Impact!

Help me give my students a comfortable, welcoming space where they can learn, connect, build confidence, and grow together.

My Project

My students deserve a classroom where they feel happy, welcomed, and ready to learn. In our special education classroom, we work hard every day to build academic skills, communication skills, independence, and positive relationships. A classroom rug would provide a comfortable, welcoming space where we can come together as a learning community.

For many of my students, having a clearly defined and consistent space for group instruction is especially helpful.

A rug would create a visual boundary for our morning meetings, read-alouds, social-emotional learning, classroom discussions, and small-group activities. It would give students a predictable place to sit, listen, participate, and interact with their classmates.

This rug would also help make our classroom feel more inviting and comfortable. Students spend a significant portion of their day in our classroom, and creating a warm environment can make a meaningful difference in how they feel about school. A comfortable shared space gives students an opportunity to practice important skills such as taking turns, respecting personal space, communicating with others, and participating as part of a group.

Most importantly, this rug would be more than just something on our classroom floor. It would become a place where we celebrate successes, read favorite books, learn new concepts, have classroom meetings, and build relationships. It would help us create a classroom community where every student has a place and every student knows they belong.

With your support, you can help us create a welcoming and purposeful space where my students can learn, connect, and grow each day. Thank you for helping make our classroom a place where all students can feel comfortable, included, and ready to succeed.
