My Project

We are almost done with our first month of learning for the second semester. With the new year and new semester, many of our 6th graders are getting a new start when it comes to their academics and/or behavior goals. We are doing a lot of reviewing expectations and looking forward to what the goals are for them before May when they will soon leave us and go to the middle school, which will be whole new challenge for many.

I have discovered in these first few weeks of 2024, that we are in need of some supply replenishment.

I gave out the last extra composition notebooks to students last week and still have many that need a new notebook due to filling theirs up first semester or just not being able to find it after the holidays. I also need a new adapter plug for our classroom LED lights because it was somehow broken over the break. We are always in need of pencils and notebook paper in math class, even with parent donations to help our supply. I don't want any students to be without a pencil to write with. We are missing a few titles to our favorite books for our classroom library, so the three books selected will help complete the sets. Finally, we need sweet treat items for rewards that I give out on our weekly assessments as prizes to encourage our students to meet their goals.
