My Students

My students come from diverse backgrounds. Many of them speak languages other than English at home. Our district provides three meals a day to many students. Our district works very hard to support all of the needs of our students, not just their academic needs.

I see 550 students, grades K-4 who come to class every week excited and ready to move and learn!

It brings me great joy to see the look on their faces when they accomplish a goal or learn a new skill.

My Project

For our striking unit in elementary pe we use our hands, short handles and long stick handles.

Please help me to keep my students safe by using foam paddles for our unit.

By using the foam paddles my student will improve their hand/eye coordination which will transfer to many other daily activities as well as sports. If my students feel safe they are more willing to take risks which increases their engagement. These paddles will allow my students to have fun exercising and learn a new skill. Learning new skills will create new adventures for them. My goal is for them to live adventurous actives lives!
