This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an ever increasingly charismatic bunch, brimming with the potential to blossom in the theatre community of Oklahoma City.

These students are creating the magic behind the scenes of the productions here.

My students continue to amaze me with their thirst for knowledge, and their yearning to delve into cutting edge techniques. We are in the process of re-making our program to meet the needs of 21st-century students by means of incorporating technology side-by-side with traditional methods.

My Project

One of the aspects we've built to set our program apart from others is the Theatre Lab. Envisioned as a sound and light lab, it is a non-performance space dedicated solely to developing and practicing technical theater applications.

Having recently acquired ETC Nomad education package, we would like to build the best possible, portable and user-friendly control console.

The touchscreen monitor will make ease of access near exponential. The mini PC allows for considerably less space required. Altogether, this lean, robust, and budget-friendly system will be an excellent introduction to the ETC EOS lighting systems, which are used in theaters all over the world.
