This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our Journalism program is growing fast. Students are producing their own stories for our community newspaper. Right now, we simply do not have enough camera equipment for the number of students in the program. Our students deserve equal access to equipment so they can build their skills and continue to build their portfolios.

Our students take pride in capturing the beautiful moments in our school and community, and shining a light on racial injustice.

A new camera lens will help our students tell their stories and their truth about their community better than anyone else!
