Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students in my class are resilient and persistent, vibrant, and compassionate. They are part of a Title I-funded school where 92% of students live below the poverty line. They represent a group of students from a multitude of backgrounds, nations, and walks of life. Many of my students are multi language learners and all of my students are students with disabilities.

Each day they work hard embracing their neuro-diversity to overcome struggles with academics and social skills.

They continue to impress me with their tenacity, inquisitiveness, and humility. Our students love to help each other out and always look out for each other. I love coming to work and getting to work with students who are eager to learn and ready to tackle challenges with positive attitudes.

My Project

Students in middle school are growing and many of our students are hungry throughout the day. Even with lunch and breakfast they sometimes need a little bite to eat mid morning or after school to keep them running strong. Your donation will give them the brain break and snacks they need to continue studying and working hard each day. Testing is back now that we are back in school. During the pandemic many students didn't face the pressures of tests and they are feeling it this year. Having something minty and sweet to eat while they work helps them focus and keeps them motivated. Help us feel happy and fed while we work hard at school.
