My Students

I teach in a low socioeconomic area in the heart of our city, Alabama. My students come to me daily, ready to learn, and eager to please their teacher by doing their best work. My students work super hard, and they are excited to learn and grow. I provide many resources myself for my classroom due to low funding.

My students are a wonderful group of children and they deserve the world.

I want my students to look forward to coming to school and not come just because they have to. Building relationships with my students is something I take to heart. At eight and nine years old, they go through some hardships outside of school, but they are always excited to come to school to learn and do their best. They all have a dream to be successful one day. They inspire me to do better as a teacher and I am proud to call them my students.

My Project

We need some solid and sturdy bookshelves in our classroom! These bookshelves will be used for our classroom library to display books. With more shelving space, we will be able to add more books to our classroom library. The more books we receive, the more storage we will need in our classroom and that is why we need these fantastic bookshelves!

My students love to read!

A nice-looking bookshelf that is organized will make it easier for students to access the books they want to read. Books will be organized into bins and displayed on these safe and sturdy bookshelves. Books will be sorted by reading level, genre, or authors which will make it easier for my students to choose books they are interested in.
