My Project

Introducing a bearded dragon terrarium and other necessary supplies to my classroom will enrich our Title 1 learners' global learning experience. This hands-on approach connects them to ecosystems worldwide, fostering a deeper understanding of biodiversity and environmental responsibility.

The goal is to allow the learners to assist in creating an excellent, research-based, habitat that simulates Max' natural environment and allows her to grow healthily.

My learners have learned so much since having our bearded dragon and even had to cope with loss. Our first dragon, Phoenix, was sick from the beginning. After his passing, the children and I became even more invested in research and have chosen items that are best for Max.

By caring for this amazing creature, students not only learn about biology but also develop valuable skills such as responsibility and empathy, contributing to a holistic and globally aware education.
