My Project

We work at an all-girls, high-poverty, majority-minority school in Atlanta. One of our school’s missions is to expose girls to state-of-the-art STEM skills. In this context, we have a robotics club that has attracted 15 students. In order to provide the students with the highest exposure to the robotics landscape and skills, we are going to participate in the First Robotics competition in March 2024. We hope that participation in these exciting tournaments will facilitate a hands-on learning experience for the students, break barriers for these underrepresented groups in STEM, and foster a sense of responsibility and achievement.

In order to provide a secure, motivating, and professional learning environment and to ensure the safety of participants, we are seeking funding for safety goggles, a drill press, and ear muffs.

We believe that by investing in the safety and equipment needs of our school robotics team, we are providing them with a safe environment, empowering them to feel confident in out-of-school surroundings and excel in the upcoming competition.
