A Healthy Snack To Keep Our Brains Engaged!

Help me give my students healthy snacks to start fresh after the holidays in order to maintain their rigorous 5th grade schedule!

My Project

My students are the most resilient 5th graders from a Title I school in Oregon. They receive 100% free breakfast and lunch each day. Many come from high-poverty homes where resources are limited. Meeting their educational, physical, social, and emotional needs is crucial this school year!

Students are working hard and doing their best, but still face many challenges.

We want to make sure their needs are being met in every way!

One way to help them feel important, special, and part of a team is to provide them with a healthy snack each day

Thank you for this opportunity to support my students in this upcoming school year! With your help, I will have the resources to help my students feel included and healthy daily!

My Project

My students receive free breakfast and lunch at school each day. They are encouraged to also eat breakfast at home and to bring a healthy snack to school each day, but 95% of my students are not able to provide a snack for themselves...

With your help, my hungry 5th grade students will be able to have a healthy snack for a few weeks!

It helps students feel more secure knowing that they are the "same" as everyone else having a snack. It creates bonding, because each day they are excited to see what snack they will get. It gives them a peace of mind, and also their parents!
