My Project

My students are enthralled by Kate DiCamillo's series about a human-like pig named Mercy. Mercy likes toast with a great deal of butter, which is why I named the title of this project a great deal of... fun! I have been bringing my own child's books to school to share with my first graders, but I would love to have a set for this group of students, and many groups to come, to enjoy and love.

We will read DiCamillo's books after lunch as a settler to start our afternoon.

I love it when I am reading, and my students will belly laugh because these books are just that funny. I would love to have DiCamillo's additional series to read to them as well as allow them to enjoy independently too.
