Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year in my classes over 60% of students are reading 3-4 grades below level. This can really create a knowledge gap and a strong reluctance to read and grow their skills.

By giving them access to texts that are high interest but also within their reading capability allows for them to grow their confident and love for reading without feeling like reading is always a struggle.

My continued hope with my reading projects through donors choose, is that I will continue to be able to provide interesting and grade level texts to all students in support of their literacy growth.
