My Project

What a year! My second graders this year were lucky to be the first class in the whole school to pilot a new curriculum. Being that the curriculum was very different from any other that they and the teachers have known, it was quite an adjustment but everyone has learned a lot! One thing students have been becoming experts on is learning the parts of speech and understanding how to dissect and identify parts of words.

Therefore, how fun would it be for each student to apply their knowledge of parts of speech to a fun activity such as Mad Libs?!

This was a classic game that adults played when they were younger! It was so much fun and it created a lot of laughter and thought between participants! It would make their summers fly! Along with the book, I would love each student to get their own fun mechanical pencils ready for third grade, a Pop Rock candy to say how much they rocked second grade this year, and a bag to wrap this gift! I really hope to end the year with these bags and lots of smiles, so thank you for supporting my project in advance!
