Help me give my students Bouncy Bands and new white boards to help them focus.

My Students

My students are 13-14 year-olds and have loads of youthful energy and enthusiasm. They are so thankful to be in the classroom instead of online. My COVID learners appreciate each other and are more grateful for learning opportunities now that we are back in person. Because being still can be hard for students this age, they benefit from having acceptable ways to expend their energy. As a trial run, I ordered 10 Bouncy Bands. They really have helped the students use up some of that energy. The students would each like to have the bands. In addition, new white boards will help my students see information clearly without shadowing and damage interfering with focus and learning.

I hope that by providing a comfortable, clean learning environment, my students will feel even more welcome here as we all experience pandemic-learning.

My students are very compassionate toward each other and try to help each other out when they can. I want them to see that I care about both their learning and their learning environment.

My Project

Students who are in and out of the classroom due to Covid have a lot of energy because they are spending more time at home in a less-restrictive learnng environment. Bouncy Bands have been a welcome addition in my classroom, and students will be happy to know that they can each enjoy them at their desks. Having a way to decrease a bit of restlessness is empowering for them because it helps them focus on learning.

Students who are more focused learn more.

Student focus also benefits when information is presented clearly-- in both the literal and figurative sense. When students don't have to filter out shadowing and damage, they can more easily read and understand concepts written on the board. COVID-19 is a struggle inside and outside of the classroom. Helping students succeed academically in both is mine.
