Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year I am beginning a new chapter as a first-grade dual language teacher in a new school.

My students are in their second year of learning in two languages—a journey that challenges them but also gives them a powerful gift.

They are curious, hardworking, and full of excitement for what they can achieve. Starting fresh means I need to build our classroom together from the ground up. I’m asking for supplies that will make a big difference: a calm-down corner with toys and seating to help students feel safe and supported, STEM activities to spark curiosity and teamwork, flexible seating so they can learn in ways that fit them best, and the folders, notebooks, and markers that keep us organized and creative.

These materials will give my students the tools they need to feel confident, comfortable, and inspired in both languages. With your support, our classroom will become a place where little learners feel proud, supported, and ready to shine.
