Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am so fortunate to say that I have a classroom bustling with 20-25 vibrant and unique students again next year. After a school year cut short, and a transitional period of remote learning time, it is safe to say these students will be eager to get back in the classroom come fall!
Help me give these students a fresh start for the 2020-2021 school year!
We can move forward with a new sense of stability and routine, and new opportunities for learning and growth!
My Project
This project has essential supplies to keep students actively engaged in their education. Supplies range from general school supplies, to supplies caring for the health and well-being of students throughout the school day.
In my opinion, both categories of supplies are needed for success.
In this project, I have requested a class set of general school supplies that I know students will use in the upcoming year. These include composition notebooks to be used during our writing block, colored pencils to be used for drawing maps and diagrams, and highlighters to help identify text features during ELA!
I have also requested supplies related to the health and wellness of students. Sanitizing wipes will help ensure we have a clean classroom environment, which can help prevent illness from spreading. Additionally, sweatshirts help ensure my students are comfortable and ready for the ever changing temperature in our room. Help us all start fresh, and feel ready for the year to come!
