My Students

In the words of Dr. Bruce Lipton, "The moment you change your perception is the moment you rewrite the chemistry of your body."

Regardless of the fact that many of my students are from low-income households, they are always eager to learn.

However, due to the limited budget of the county, students and teachers need help with funding resources. I try my best to do everything in my power to improve and enhance my students' access to a positive, safe and welcoming learning environment. I pride myself on developing an atmosphere in which the students are in a judgment-free zone and are able to be themselves without being scolded.

My Project

When we think of drones, photography, military use, or couriers delivering packages to our doorstep come to mind . Education is often overlooked as a use for drones. The use of drones can be seen in a variety of applications within the field of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Students are excited by the possibility of both drone usage and the programming needed to control them through hands on learning. The experience generates an excitement that fosters learning. It is this same excitement that allows the retention of this new acquired knowledge. Drones allow teachers to impart to students a while new way of understanding and interaction with the world they see.

Drone usage in recent years has proliferated both criminal and terrorist organizations.

Drones are dealt with on daily basis across the country and world for that matter by a variety of government agencies and are used by investigators in a variety of procedures. They have become crucial tools in obtaining and establishing objective information about locations, movements of persons of interest. Investigators often note when a drone is used in the commission of a crime such as drug smuggling or a terrorist carrying an explosive. Additionally, a drone may be with witness to a crime real-time as often drones have onboard photo and video recording capabilities.These are just couple of use cases that investigators use drones for when searching for any relevant evidence.

Providing a drone to a classroom not only encourages and excites students with new possibilities to learn but it provides them with a real tool used by real world professionals in the field. This better prepares and trains them for what they can expect to see in a future career.
