Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Sitting on bottoms is overrated; my students learn from doing, not just watching and listening. My students are very active, and it is hard for them to sit still and just listen to lessons. When lessons are delivered through games, fun activities and fun stories, they love it and learn much, much more.
I have fourteen girls and ten boys who are all precious and beautiful, and even though they come from a Title I school they all have the potential to excel in academics, graduate from college and have very successful careers.
I am the teacher who needs to give them a strong foundation in math, science, PE, visual arts, music, social studies, reading and writing to make sure their career dreams come true.
My Project
This drum center will bring the magic of music to my students with its nature-inspired look. The center is designed to look like real logs.
The 4 drums each produce a different tone, and my students will use the 4 leaf-shaped mallets to bang out beats, rhythms, and tunes!
This will be perfect for 4 of my students to play at once. The all-weather drum center is freestanding and features a holder for each mallet.
Learning the concepts they need through play for a strong foundation will give my students the boost they need to go to college and have bright futures!
