My Project

With change comes challenges. The M. P. School has undergone a huge transformation! Originally, our school opened its doors to the community's 7th and 8th grade students. It shifted gears to educate the 5th and 6th grade students to then quickly embrace Lacey’s youngest learners with the inclusion of 9 PreSchool classes. We have once again embarked upon a transition. M. P. school underwent that largest of its transitions this past summer.

We are now the building that houses the community’s PreSchool and Kindergarten classes and these floor seats and comfy storage bench will support students love for reading and will help enhance this large empty room.

This change is affording all of our youngest learners the opportunity to have a reading room filled with flexible seating, books, and tables. We want it to be a cozy, warm, welcoming place for all learners to come to read and instill a love for literacy, reading, and learning. Flexible seating will effective for children's growth and development.
