A Cozy Spot for Everyone

Help me give my students a classroom rug that provides my students with flexible seating, seating for read aloud time, and group discussions. We have tile in my classroom and we need a comfortable seating option.

My Students

I have 19 loving, energetic kinder babies who love to learn. They are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to learn new things and share what they have learned with each other. Truly, they are my inspiration! We are part of a very small school that typically has one classroom per grade. I'm often the first classroom that most of our students begin in. I try my best to make sure they have an amazing experience that develops their love for learning and school.

My Project

The students in my classroom will have the opportunity to have a place where they can all comfortably come together for our special time during the day. The classroom carpet is a common meeting place for my students and myself. Concepts are introduced and practiced. Stories are heard. Thinking takes place. We can gather around something new and explore it together. It's that one special place where everyone feels welcome and everyone knows that something new and exciting is about to take place!

The carpet is a home inside a classroom, fostering learning and creativity.

It is comfortable for little bodies to lay on and solve problems, read books, build castles, and make memories with friends. Community is so critical in developing confident, capable learners. By having a classroom carpet, the students will have a chance to get out of their chairs and come together to learn up close and personal!
