You have heard of those tiny towns that are so small they don't even have a red light? Where everyone knows your name? It's small and may be insignificant on any map, but it's where we call home. Our school is the remnants of what was once a pk-high school housed in the same building before consolidation. We are now a pk-8 school. We are part of a very low economic community, as most factories and businesses have closed. Families soon began to move as they had to find new ways to provide for their families. Those that chose to stay are very close-knit and have created an environment that is beyond special. We have limited supplies, but we all share what we have and I feel that makes our school even closer. I want my students to know that their knowledge and experiences are priceless, and that no one can take that away from them. It's not where you come from, but who you are and what you do that matters.
