My Project

In kindergarten, so much of our learning happens together on the classroom rug. My students are curious, energetic little learners who come to school each day ready to explore, grow, and discover new things. For many of them, kindergarten is their first school experience, and I want our classroom to be a place where every child feels welcomed, valued, and excited to learn.

This classroom rug will become the heart of our classroom and give every child a special place to belong.

We will use it throughout each day for morning meetings, interactive lessons, read-alouds, phonics and math instruction, songs, class discussions, and hands-on learning activities. Having a comfortable, designated gathering space will help my students stay engaged, participate in learning, and build a strong sense of classroom community.

My goal is to create an inviting learning environment where my students can grow academically, build confidence, develop friendships, and learn together. This rug will be more than a place to sit—it will be a place where we learn, laugh, share ideas, celebrate successes, and make special kindergarten memories together.
