Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are creative, caring, and unique individuals who thrive when they feel safe and connected. I want to transform our classroom into a warm, welcoming space inspired by the comfort and camaraderie of a coffeehouse—think the iconic Central Perk from Friends!

By adding cozy lighting, inviting décor, classic games, and soft plushies, I’ll give my students a place where they can relax, build friendships, and support each other.

Games like UNO and Scattergories encourage positive social interaction and teamwork, while tactile plushies offer comfort during stressful moments. Our new lighting, posters, and fun coffeehouse touches will help students feel at home and ready to learn.

These resources are more than decorations—they’re tools to foster community, boost emotional well-being, and create joyful shared memories that help my students grow academically and personally.
