My Project

My classroom is filled with enthusiastic 4–5-year-old learners who are just beginning their school journey. Each day, we come together for circle time, read-alouds, songs, and important whole-group lessons. However, we currently do not have a comfortable, designated space for students to gather, which makes it challenging for them to stay focused and engaged.

Young children learn best when they feel safe, comfortable, and part of a community.

A classroom rug would provide a special place where students can sit together, build routines, and participate in learning as a group. It will help create structure during lessons, giving each child a clear personal space while also encouraging collaboration and connection with peers.

I am requesting a classroom rug that is soft, durable, and large enough for all students to sit comfortably. This rug will be used daily for morning meetings, story time, phonics lessons, and group discussions. It will support students in developing listening skills, turn-taking, and social-emotional skills as they learn to be part of a classroom community.

A classroom rug will also help with classroom management by providing a consistent, organized space for instruction. With clearly defined seating areas, students can better focus on learning and feel a sense of belonging in our classroom environment. Your support will help create a warm, welcoming space where my students can gather, learn, and grow together every day.
