Welcome to our class. You'll fit right in. Why, you ask? Because we are all so different.
My students are incredibly diverse, but they all have one thing in common: they want to be successful.
In my class, success looks different for every student. I get so excited to see my students succeed, whether it's erasing the chalk board independently, reading a difficult book, or looking at someone's eyes as they say hello! Every student in my class works so hard to succeed and they all deserve the tools necessary to do so.
This requested weighted blanket can alleviate anxiety, provide necessary sensory input, and provide a sense of security. It's like a constant hug. These blankets can help individuals with anxiety, autism, sensory processing disorders, and people who just like the way it feels.
A blanket like this can provide the sensory input my students seek so that they can finally focus solely on school work, maybe for the first time.
There will be less need for students to jump, burrow under bean bag chairs, and actively seek sensory input. It's difficult for students to learn when they cannot be still or truly focus on what they are learning. Help me help them.
