A Comfortable Place to Learn

Help me give my students three tier shelves for organization, Kindles for lower level readers, bean bags and seat cushions for seating alternatives, a timer for assignment tracking, and so much more!

My Students

I teach 4th grade with a wide variety of readers, ranging from Kindergarten-7th grade level, they love reading! We have a beautiful reading nook set up in our room, where they love to hunker down with a great book.

We also have a solid range of learning types, from auditory to kinesthetic.

I am hoping to get some learning supplies that will benefit our wonderful classroom.

My Project

By providing my students with organization opportunities (such as the 3 tier cart and bookshelf) and flexible seating (the big joe chairs and small round cushions) I am preparing them for a more productive learning environment. Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them.

During independent work times they choose a location in the classroom that works for them.

Currently my students are choosing to work in a variety of locations in our room such as: different tables, sitting under tables with clip boards, or sitting or laying on the floor with a clip board.

They also independently read around the room, if they had a Kindle they would be able to also access many books at the touch of a button!

The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options and tools to make their leaning environment more effective!
