Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a proud special education English Language Arts teacher. The classes that I teach are sub-separate for students with emotional behavioral disorders grades 10-12.

Creating a space where students feel safe, comfortable and ready to learn is my goal each and every year.

The students that I teach have incredible abilities, potential, and skills that can often be negatively impacted by limited seating options and hunger. With the help of your donation, I hope to create a space where all students have the ability to learn in seating options that work for them as well as have access to food.

It is my first year in this specific position but my seventh year as a special education teacher. I have wanted to provide both flexible seating and consistent access to food for my students throughout the years and am grateful for any donation that will help me accomplish that this year!
