Our students are curious and excited learners who thrive when challenged and supported.
We are an inclusion classroom, serving students with varying abilities and needs.
We commit to the growth of all learners, by seeing and respecting the humanity of all students, meeting and serving students where they are, promoting access, participation and progress for students of all abilities, reconsidering and redesigning arbitrary structures and reflecting and growing constantly. We strive to create rigorous learning environments where all have the confidence and resources to succeed.
Our school community emphasizes excellent academics, strong social-emotional supports, and engaging extracurriculars as three major pillars to ensure the success of the whole child. We promote values of community, leadership, and joy in the classroom.
As CPS makes a plan to return to schools safely, we are prioritizing student and staff health with this project. With your support, we would be able to efficiently clean and sanitize our entire learning environment, including the floors, to create and maintain a clean classroom.
Early learners love to explore freely; this project would allow us to provide an environment in which our young students can learn and explore without the fear and stress of protecting their families from the virus.
Our school community has been hit extremely hard by the pandemic: students have lost parents and family members to the virus. All, including our children of only 3, 4, and 5 years have suffered a heightened sense of anxiety as they try to learn in person while continuing to protect themselves, their families and teachers. With the rise in COVID cases around the world and hospitalizations of young children, we are prioritizing their health and safety as we continue to learn in community.
These resources would allow us to continue to learn safely in person. We know that students benefit from in person learning. Help us provide the PPE, cleaning supplies and resources our students need to continue to learn safely.
