Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious, hardworking, and eager to learn, even when they face challenges outside of school. Many are interested in healthcare, science, and other STEM careers, and they thrive when given opportunities to explore concepts through hands-on experiences. I want to provide them with the resources they need to stay engaged, organized, and confident in their learning.

My goal is to create a supportive biology classroom where every student has access to meaningful learning opportunities.

The biology books and prepared microscope slides will help students deepen their understanding of scientific concepts through reading and investigation. Binders, pencils, and markers will help students stay organized and actively participate in lessons. Classroom décor and motivational displays will create an inviting environment that encourages curiosity and perseverance. Snacks, hygiene items, blankets, and drinks will help address basic needs so students can focus on learning and feel supported throughout the school day.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
