My Project

A classroom rug is an essential place in our classroom, where most of our learning takes place. The classroom rug will be used to hold Morning Meetings, listen to Read Alouds, participate in lessons, and a cozy place for students to work during independent work time.

A classroom rug is a place where the students play, learn, and grow together as friends.This meeting space creates a classroom community.

My students need a special and comfortable place of their own to sit and learn. They will be able to focus and be engaged during lessons and activities.

I love my students passion for learning. They are making strides in all areas, especially reading and math. Being able to be comfortable and work in different areas of the classroom is conducive to learning. During independent work times, students have flexible seating choices. They choose a location in the classroom that works for them.

Currently my students are choosing to work in a variety of locations in our room such as: at different tables, rocking chair, yoga balls or sitting or laying on the floor with a clip board. A new, cozy rug would make the perfect addition to our classroom.
