This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All students deserve access to a curriculum that is relevant, rigorous, and engaging. To meet that goal, I incorporate a wide range of texts, many of which come from outside of the textbook. Unfortunately, at the end of last school year, my classroom printer was broken, which makes providing hard copies of articles, short stories, and poems from outside of the textbook much more difficult.

Your donation will replace the broken printer with a new one that works and will support its continued functioning with an extra high-yield toner cartridge.

This new printer will help me get back to working as quickly and efficiently as possible, as it will allow me to resume:

-printing out curricular materials in my classroom, rather than having to ask colleagues to print for me or printing things out in the evenings at my home

-printing student work for display and for our workshopping sessions

-providing on the fly for students who have forgotten or misplaced their handouts or assignments

-supporting my advisory students with printouts of assignments for other classes, transcripts, and other progress monitoring
