Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 4th graders are a bright, curious, and creative group of learners who love to explore, collaborate, and share what they know. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to every lesson. Whether we’re building STEM projects, creating digital stories, or practicing multi-cultural performances, my students are always eager to bring learning to life in exciting ways.

To support their creativity and engagement, I am requesting an Apple iPhone 16 Pro to use as a classroom learning and documentation tool.

This will allow us to capture high-quality photos and videos of student projects, performances, science experiments, and special events to share with families and our school community.

Students will take an active role in documenting their own learning. They will:

Record and edit videos for digital storytelling projects and presentations.

Capture evidence of learning during STEM and art projects.

Help manage our classroom Instagram account (with teacher supervision) to share highlights of our learning journey and celebrate achievements.

Use ClassDojo to upload photos, videos, and reflections to their personal portfolios, keeping families connected and engaged in real time.

Practice media literacy, communication, and technology skills as they learn how to use digital tools responsibly.

The Apple iPhone is ideal for classroom use because of its outstanding camera quality, durability, and built-in accessibility features. Its high-resolution photos and advanced video recording capabilities will allow us to produce clear, professional-looking student work that can be shared for school showcases, social media, and family engagement. The iPhone’s seamless integration with educational apps like ClassDojo, Google Classroom, Seesaw, and iMovie will make learning more interactive and accessible for all students.

Ultimately, this device will help our class capture the magic of learning — empowering students to tell their own stories, reflect on their growth, and share their creativity beyond the classroom walls.
