My students need supplies that will help support their individual needs and help them to be as successful as possible in the classroom. We need a time timer, earmuffs and a trampoline.

My Students
I'm going to be teaching in an inclusion kindergarten classroom this year. That means I will have kids who are identified as having special needs mixed in with those who are not identified. Many of my students are on free and reduced lunch and breakfast. For a majority of them this is their first exposure to traditional schooling as many haven't attended a preschool before coming to our school. We also have a large military population whose children attend our school. Being the young age that they are, coupled with some sensory needs, the children need every chance for movement and resources to help them learn.
My Project
I want to create a classroom where all my students are given a chance to learn. Having the requested items will help immensely. The headphones are for those kids who cannot concentrate with a lot of noise going on around them, and or those kids for whom a lot of noise can cause anxiety and even be painful. The trampoline will be used for all kids. It will be used for rewards. I.e way to help your friend you get two bounces. This is to make sure no one is singled out while still helping to ensure the kids that need to get a little extra energy out or who need that sensory input get a chance to do so. The timer will be used to help in classroom management as a majority of kindergarteners can't tell the time yet. Having the visual will help them see when they are going to be done with an activity. It also helps aide in transitions.
The goal of asking for these materials is truly to create a classroom where every single child is successful whether they have special needs or not.
As well as creating a classroom where everyone is so successful you have a hard time distinguishing whose special needs or not instead you just are seeing a group of students engaged in learning.
