Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am returning to the classroom after two years as a literacy interventionist.

I am asking for materials that would help set up my 2nd grade classroom and increase participation in literacy instruction.

The Elkonin Box Board set, word mapping boards, small whiteboard stand, and phonics flash cards will be a huge support in phonemic awareness and phonics instruction for my 2nd graders. The privacy shields will be used when giving assessments to students, the clip boards will be used as a means for students to be able to take their work and complete it throughout the classroom. The other materials such as literature organizers, bulletin board rolls, and magnetic bookshelves are to make the classroom organized and inviting.
