My students are the sweetest most hardworking first graders. They all come with different backgrounds, socioeconomic status, cultures and life experiences. Many of my students are leaning English as a second language. Even with all thier differences they are your typical 1st grader, they are all very smart and capable of learning,they laugh, they cry and they tattle :-). They attend a school that does not qualify for much assistance because we do not qualify for title one and are not located in a high socioeconomic neighborhood. Much of the supplies we have we rely on what little the school supplies, what I can gather from parents and of course what I supply.
