Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our Title I school serves students in grades K-8 and provides rigorous academics to allow students to advance and excel as they are our future leaders. I currently teach sixth-grade special education. My students all have different learning styles and can benefit from many accommodations and supports. My students come from poor income households and live in foster homes and shelters.

My students are eager learners who are willing to work hard to reach their goals.

They enjoy working together, using technology and have a strong love for learning. My goal is to always inspire my students and provide a strong, positive, and successful learning environment for them to excel and succeed!

My Project

My students and I would greatly benefit from a copy machine and scanner located in our classroom. My students are always working on research projects and looking for ways to get tangible pictures and documents on their computer. By having a scanner, this would be possible!

A copy machine, printer, and scanner will allow my 6th graders to become successful learners!

Currently, we find it difficult to quickly get copies of texts that we read, worksheets, and much more. If we receive this item, we will be able to have copies, prints, and scans within seconds. This will allow us to academically succeed and enhance our motivation in our classroom. We will also be able to instantly make copies when needed. All students in my classroom as well as myself would greatly benefit from this all in one machine!
