Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are precious little kindergarteners beginning their journey of being excited, engaged, and successful life-long learners in the public school setting. They are each unique and special and deserving of the best education we can give them. They are creative, thoughtful, full of questions, and curiosity. They love to smile, giggle, play, have fun, and they especially love books!
These adorable kinder kiddos, that I am overjoyed to teach, look to me with wide-eyed anticipation each day for what our school day will hold.
It is my honor and responsibility to provide them with all the best experiences and tools to set them up for success in all areas of life and ensure that they truly enjoy school. They are eager and ready to learn, and they are our future world changers!
My Project
In our special little kindergarten classroom, we engage in Story Workshop. Story Workshop utilizes play and our classroom materials to help express the magical stories already inside children. It is a wonderful way to awaken the writer within all of them.
I would love your help to get a color printer for our classroom to enhance my students' storytelling experiences.
As they create and/or act out stories through their play, they often ask me to take pictures of their creations so they can look back at them as they are putting their stories on paper. It would be wonderful if I could start printing up these pictures for them to keep in their writing folders.
