Help me give my students a calming oasis in the classroom to promote a home away from home feel!

My Project

I love that my students are a community of learners that are encouraged and motivated by each other. My students are excited daily to come to school and are eager to share their learning experiences. My 1st graders are full of zest and grit and give their all in everything they do. They bring their "A" game to the classroom, whether rain or shine. I am always cheering them on and encouraging them to do their best no matter the obstacles or challenges that come their way!

The items in this project will promote the home away from home feel for our classroom.

Flexible seating will allow my scholars to move around in the school and not feel they must always sit at the traditional desk and chair. Cushions, pillows, and a fluffy rug will give a little personality to our library area; comfort while reading their favorite books. Artificial plants and a lamp will bring a natural outdoor feel. Aromatherapy will help with the warm and cozy feeling that will ease students' minds. Every item will indeed be an addition to our wonderful classroom space!
