A Calmer Classroom in the Clouds

Help me give my students a classroom that fosters learning with these cloud print fluorescent light covers that will reduce eye strain and improve focus!

My Students

My third-grade friends are some of the best you will ever meet! Each day with them is a new adventure. Our classroom is full of learning and fun and we spend each day expanding our minds. Each of my 19 students are full of curiosity and strive to be the best they can be!

Over half of our school population is identified as economically disadvantaged and many of my students are faced with obstacles outside of the classroom.

As their teacher I strive to make the classroom a safe environment that fosters a love for learning, self, and others. My hope is that each of my students feel important, capable, and valued so that they may be encouraged to grow as learners.

My Project

A calm classroom environment provides students with a safe place to learn, make mistakes, and grow as learners as well as individuals. If students feel safe and calm, they will be more willing to try new things and take risks to expand their minds. A disruptive classroom environment can hinder their learning and affect their academic performance. It can also affect how they treat others as well as how they feel about themselves.

The fluorescent lights that are typically found in classrooms can cause eye strain, headaches, and stress.

These cloud light covers will reduce headaches and stress in our classroom by providing softer lighting to learn in. This will also be a big help to those students with special needs, such as ADHD and autism. The fluorescent light covers will play a big part in fostering calm classroom environment that my students need to help them learn.
