Books can open up the world to students and take them to places that they have never been to before. A classroom library full of valuable literature can foster a love for reading in students. Reading promotes empathy and understanding for others by giving us a chance to experience different lives. Reading is also the foundation for success across all subjects. By encouraging students to read, we provided them with the opportunity to practice the skills they need to prosper in and out of the classroom. As a first-year teacher, it can be hard to provide students with a variety of books that they want to read. Help me get my students reading more books by adding to my classroom library!
