A Calm Start to a Wonderful Year!

Help me give my students a great start back to school. For many students with anxiety and depression this is a tough time. I create a safe space where they can come in and relax when overwhelmed.

My Project

Students today have been through so much. I work in a Title One school, I have many students that do not have a lot of resources. I work with them on resilience and positive thinking.

As many struggle with anxiety, the items in this project are designed to help them relax and create a Zen space within my office.

The comfy bean bag chair gives them a place outside of the classroom setting to decompress. Many of my students have experienced a lot of trauma. The stress fidgets assist them in the classroom when they are having a tough time. Sometimes a snack in a safe space helps them to be able to return to class. Often, I have students who have food insecurity due to not having much food available at home. We create snack bag for them and fortunately, they have free breakfast and lunch at school.

It is a difficult task to be able to replenish these supplies year after year. Your assistance is so appreciated and we all know it takes a village.

Thank you for considering this project. Hopefully we can help kids have a great year filled with lots of learning and growth.
