It has always been important to me to support the mental health of my young students by offering movement and mindfulness exercises in class daily.
I believe the atmosphere of the classroom has a huge impact on the success of your students.
I have been in my classroom for nine years now. Many of my staple items that we use daily are falling apart. I would love to replace our classroom mailbox that the students use daily. We also need to replace our pencil bags (each student has their own) and dry erase erasers that they use daily.
I love having many options for alternate seating throughout the day. I would love to add a couple bouncy bands to the collection. The fidget toys will help with ADHD and restlessness throughout the day.
I use sound healing throughout the day with the students. When I use the tuning fork, everyone stops what they are doing and breathes. Adding the chimes, drum, frog instrument, and ocean sounds will help with my daily transitions, SEL, and be a great addition to my calming corner.
