Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Eager to learn is a great way to describe my students. My students attend a 100 percent Title I school located in one of the poorest zip codes in our city. All of my students and every other student that attends our school qualify for free breakfast and lunch. Our school is a prime learning haven because it is surrounded by many historical landmarks and the area itself is slowly being revived. This makes our school special and, thus, makes my students special because they are right in the heart of this awesome learning circle!

My Project

Having these personal hygiene products will help my students to feel better about themselves and thus, do better in school. My students will be able to focus on learning their daily tasks, not about how others view them due to their personal appearances. These products will be used to wash the clothes of students who need it. The bar soap will be given to the students to take home. Each student in need will receive a care bag filled with personal hygiene items that they will use at home. Again, having these products will help my students to feel good about themselves while they are learning.
